Smartphone-based Data Acquisition Method for Modelling 3D Printed Arm Casts

In recent years, 3D printed arm casts can replace traditional to treat bones fractures. cast modelling often uses professional scanning systems capture data of the arm. These are very expensive and may not be available in many hospitals. order over-come this disadvantage, inexpensive methods should developed. This paper introduces a new collection method based on smartphones. The photos an were taken with smartphone cam-era using some special techniques that could facilitate process image processing mod-elling Agisoft Metashape CATIA. To validate proposed method, photogrammetric model was compared scanned (obtained by low cost scanner) GOM Inspect. Be-sides, fit check real attached volunteer's forearm also per-formed. test results indicate used as raw for modelling.
